21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC)
Purpose: to establish or expand centers that offer additional learning opportunities through before- and after-school programs, as well as summer school programs, all aimed at improving student academic performance. Funds can be used to complement the regular school day by implementing expanded learning time programs that encompass a broad range of activities.
Eligibility Parties: LEAs, CBOs, Indian tribes, tribal organizations, faith-based organizations, and other public or private entities.
Funding: Awards of a minimum of $50,000 per year for 3-5 years.

Purpose: to improve student achievement, improve the quality of prospective and new teachers by improving preparation and professional development, hold teacher preparation programs at institutions of higher education (IHEs), and recruiting individuals into the teaching force.

Jacob K. Javits Gifted and Talented Students Education Program
Purpose: to support schools’ ability to identify and support gifted and talented students, focusing on those traditionally underrepresented, such as economically disadvantaged, LEP, and disabled students.
